Since the launch of the new art class in January 2018, at the beautiful venue of The Beech House, 727 Warwick Road, Solihull, enrolment is open for the next term running each Wednesday evening, 6.30-8.30pm.

The central Solihull venue is easily reached by train with a short walk from the town centre station, or by bus where there are several bus stops near the venue, or by car and there are numerous public car parks.

The art class is for beginners or intermediates of 19+ ages for 2 hours each week on Wednesday evenings in the function room.  Most terms are for 10 weeks (except the short 5 week term before the Summer or Christmas holidays).  Each term is booked and paid in advance for the week blocks, allowing for ease of payment and to fit in with your lifestyle.  For more information please use the Contact page  An Enrolment Form is downloadable from a tab at the top (Adult Art Class Enrolment Form).

The new term starts by way of getting to know each other and the current skill level and expertise.  In that way I can build up a picture of the students and support each at their own level.  I will provide help and guidance, introduce new or expand on existing knowledge and experience.  Students will practice drawing for half an hour with different materials to improve their way of seeing which will increase their drawing skills each week.  Students will then spend the remainder of the two hours painting.  By the end of the 10 weeks it is quite possible to have completed a painting for framing.

It’s a great way to spend a evening, learn new skills or expand on your existing skills and techniques, be with like minded people, make new friends and socialise in beautiful surroundings. Refreshments may be ordered at the bar and will be served to you in the function room.
