Hi, I’m an art teacher in the community teaching drawing, painting, and crafts in Birmingham, Solihull, and Warwickshire. I create my own paintings, collage, small clay work, felting and mixed media artwork and these are displayed with prints of my artwork at various galleries in Birmingham, Kenilworth, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick. I have also exhibited in the Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, and The Herbert Museum & Art Gallery, Coventry. I graduated with BA(Hons) from the University of Central England (formerly Birmingham Polytechnic) many years ago! I went on to complete PGCE(PCE) and have thoroughly enjoyed teaching art and craft ever since! I teach for several institutions and am also freelance. With the theme of Still Life anything is possible! Bring in your 3d objects to draw and we’ll also have an exercise to start with in colour mixing 🎨

This term is a special short 5 weeks before everyone goes on their well deserved summer holidays! We will then start the following academic year on 12 September for the normal term duration of 10 weeks

The Easter holidays have drawn to a close and Spring is finally underway! So, we need to get cracking too 😀
TUESDAY CLASS
Images of landscapes at the ready, drawing and painting equipment, drawing board, apron, sketchbook.
WEDNESDAY CLASS
Drawing equipment plus charcoal, sketchbook, paper, painting paper or canvas board or other, table cover and apron! Images of landscapes – do your images clearly show you colours, lighting, is it visually interesting/hold your attention for long? You won’t need any paint till next week.
FRIDAY CLASS
It’s time for decoupage! Plan to create a gift box to pop a present in to give to someone. Pva glue, applicator, colourful magazines, wrapping paper, photos, images, scissors ✂️ sketchbook for planning, pencils. Table cover plus newspaper to protect tables.
Other classes: no prep needed.
