This term is a special short 5 weeks before everyone goes on their well deserved summer holidays! We will then start the following academic year on 12 September for the normal term duration of 10 weeks

It’s crazy to think that in just under a month I will be starting the short 5 week summer art class! Where did this academic year go? The current students are doing so well and I look forward to seeing their completed acrylic painting 🎨

The Easter holidays have drawn to a close and Spring is finally underway! So, we need to get cracking too 😀
TUESDAY CLASS
Images of landscapes at the ready, drawing and painting equipment, drawing board, apron, sketchbook.
WEDNESDAY CLASS
Drawing equipment plus charcoal, sketchbook, paper, painting paper or canvas board or other, table cover and apron! Images of landscapes – do your images clearly show you colours, lighting, is it visually interesting/hold your attention for long? You won’t need any paint till next week.
FRIDAY CLASS
It’s time for decoupage! Plan to create a gift box to pop a present in to give to someone. Pva glue, applicator, colourful magazines, wrapping paper, photos, images, scissors ✂️ sketchbook for planning, pencils. Table cover plus newspaper to protect tables.
Other classes: no prep needed.

Spring Could Finally Be Here – time to draw outside!
With the sun suddenly shining today it was a real opportunity to get out and about! In the centre of Birmingham today everywhere seemed to have young birds perched in unusual places, the House of Fraser window blinds outside seemed a favourite for the young Starlings!
This is a wake up call for me to get cracking and organise weekend dates for our On-location drawing and painting stand alone workshops! Keep a look out for the dates on the website 😀
