What a fabulous day we’ve had in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter with The Hive Community art project! It’s been the hottest day of the year today and a fine day to celebrate ☀️

Home now to upload my newest clay piece entitled Iris. This was inspired by a trip in May to Winterbourne Gardens where they have a huge variety of these plants in full flower. Absolutely stunning garden, I’d really recommend a visit!

Hi, I’m an art teacher in the community teaching drawing, painting, and crafts in Birmingham, Solihull, and Warwickshire. I create my own small clay work, felting and mixed media artwork and these are displayed with prints of my work at various galleries, currently Birmingham, Kenilworth, Royal Leamington Spa. I have also exhibited collage in The Herbert Art Gallery, Coventry. I graduated with BA(Hons) from the University of Central England (formerly Birmingham Polytechnic) many years ago! I went on to complete PGCE(PCE) and have thoroughly enjoyed teaching art and craft ever since! I teach for several institutions and am also freelance.
